Borderline is the third episode of NCIS: Los Angeles Season 2 and also the 27th episode of the entire NCIS: Los Angeles series.
Synopsis
When four Marines who are participating in a joint DEA-Marine task force are ambushed while patrolling an area in Mexico, the OSP team race against time to rescue the captured Marines and find out who is responsible for the entire operation.
Plot

Deeks and Kensi at the crime scene.
Major Events
- Nate returns from his assignment and his shooting skills are shown to have greatly improved.
- It's revealed that a week has passed since the events of Human Traffic (episode).
- It's also revealed that if an alias a member of the OSP field team has been using which has been either burned or compromised, presumably due to the fact that the agent in question has been exposed as a member of law enforcement, it will be written off and marked down as "NLV"- No Longer Viable with all information and belongings concerning the alias in question also placed into a box that is either destroyed or put into storage.
- Nate leaves the team.
