Collateral Damage is the seventh episode in NCIS Season 6 and the 120th episode of the entire NCIS series.
Synopsis
When a security guard is shot dead while trying to stop a hold-up at a bank in Quantico, the team with the help of a new recruit to NCIS investigate the crime and they soon discover that the heist is not what it appears to be while Gibbs begins to suspect that after recent events, the mole is still on the loose.
Prologue
In a bank in Quantico, Ray Vittorio is busy talking to Eddie Banasek about the three rules for a happy marriage and once the talk has ended, Eddie heads off while Ray resumes his security guard duties.
Meanwhile, a young boy, Tommy Page, runs into the bank with his mother, Jenny warning the youngster to be careful and not to run so fast.
Tommy's eagerness to get into the bank causes Ray's tie to become splattered with ice cream with Jenny berating her son for what he's done.
Tommy sheepishly apologizes but Ray assures him that it's alright.
As Ray heads off to the bathroom, Jenny confronts her son, telling him she told him to slow and that he should be more careful.
Tommy again apologizes.
Ray then heads into the bathroom and using a wet cloth, gets rid of the ice cream while singing to himself.
Once he's finished, he then straightens up his tie and prepares to head out but once he gets out to the main room, Ray discovers that everyone in the bank is down on the floor and being held hostage by a masked man with a gun who warns them not to move.
Suddenly, a masked man emerges, his gun aimed at Ray.
Ray reacts by attempting to draw his gun first.
It then cuts to the masked man who aims his gun at Ray, pulling the trigger, shooting Ray dead.
