Edward O'Connell was a Lieutenant in the United States Navy.

O'Connor used to serve in the United States Marines, and would take his mother to dinner every Sunday night. O'Connell died on August 24th, 2006 by Gabriel Hicks.
NCIS Season 15[]
His case would be reopened when Jessica Shaeffer convinced NCIS that Hicks was innocent. It would be discovered that Gabriel's Hicks trial for his murder had been done wrong by Tobias Fornell, and Hicks would walk free. Eventually it would be discovered that Hicks had committed the murder.
