Gloria Sciuto was the biological mother of Luca Sciuto and the adoptive mother of former Forensic Scientist Abigail Sciuto.

Pre-series[]
Both Gloria and her husband were born deaf and as such they communicated through American Sign Language (ASL).
She has one biological son named Luca, and they adopted a girl who was either named Abigail or the Sciuto's gave her that name upon adoption. As they were both deaf their children's first language was ASL.
The family of four lived in New Orleans, Louisiana, presumably in Jefferson Parrish.
NCIS Season 9[]
Neither Gloria nor her husband told Abby she was adopted, and she didn't find out until she was in her 30's when she volunteered to donate a kidney to a stranger. Abby was a match, but the doctor accidentally told her it was a little strange that both a brother and a sister would both be willing to donate and be a match.
Later in Enemy on the Hill Abby tested her mother's hair from the locket she had, and it turned out to have no biological match to her.
