Jeanne Woods (née Benoit) is a French-American doctor who is the daughter of infamous international arms dealer, René Benoit aka "Le Grenoille"/"The Frog" and civilian doctor Helen Berkley as well as the wife of Doctor David Woods, and a former girlfriend of NCIS Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo.

Biography

Pre-Series

NCIS Season 4

Jeanne makes her debut in the seventh episode of the season. She was Tony's love interest and later girlfriend for most of the season. They love each other and even plan on moving in together in the last few episodes of the season. Tony even meets her mother.

The audience does not know until the finale of season four that she is the daughter of the arm´s dealer the team has been hunting for a long time, and the same case Anthony DiNozzo have been undercover for. In the last episode it is revealed that she is "The Frogs" daughter and that Tony originally got close to her because of his undercover work and did not plan on falling for her.

In the season finale she introduces Tony to her father after they have nearly been killed and held hostage in the hospital by drug dealers. Tony's car is blown up and after reviewing the evidence, it is revealed that she was the intended target. Tony comes clean and tells her in the season finale that he is in fact a NCIS Agent and that he targeted her to get close to her father. She is very torn up about this and runs away and tell Tony that she needs time to think. She also leaves him a letter.

NCIS Season 5

She is mentioned many times in the season as it is shown that Tony did love her and feels bad for what he did to her. The content of the letter she left for him is also shown and she asked him to choose between NCIS and her. It is also revealed that she went to Africa to work to get away from everything that happend in the states. She makes an appearance in Internal Affairs (episode) which is the 14th episode of the season. In this episode it is revealed that her father was found dead and she is a material witness in the case and claims to FBI agent Tobias Fornell and Leon Vance that she saw Agent DiNozzo shoot her father.

It is revealed that she is lying and that Tony was innocent. She only said he killed her father because she was blaming him and herself for his death. She believes Tony is responsible for his death, but is not his killer.

At the end of the episode she talks to Tony and asks if any of it was real. Tony answers no, after Ziva urged him to "be a man and tell her what she needs to hear". She then tells him she wishes she never met him and her eyes gets filled with tears before the elevator doors closes.

Personal Relationships

Anthony DiNozzo

They dated for close to a year. While Tony first entered the relationship as a cover to try and get close to here father "Le Grenouille" they both ended up actually falling in love. However when Tony told her who he really was she was obviously mad. She however gave him a choice quit NCIS or lose her he ultimately chose NCIS.

Later in internal affairs the next time they meet she says Tony is the one who killed her father. Eventually recanting as it was Jenny Shepard who killed Rene. At the conclusion of the episode Jeanne asks Tony if any of it was real he lies and says no (when in fact he did truly love her) she responds by saying she wish she never met him.

She was one of the two most significant relationships Tony had in his 13 years on the show.

In "Iceman" (season 4 ep 18) she gets mad at Tony for not saying he loves her however they both said it prior in "Friends & Lovers" (season 4 ep 15) while on the phone when she was working at the hospital and he was staking out the night club. But she says that she believes that he has never said it properly and seems unsure if he means it as he only says it on the phone or after sex. He later tells her that he loves her in a proper way and they make up in the episode later.

David Woods is a fellow Doctor and her husband as shown in season 13.
