Liam Michael O'Neill was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps who was later revealed to be the long-lost son of former NIS/NCIS Special Agent Michael Franks as well as the husband of Leyla Shakarji, father of Amira Shakarji and also the son-in-law of Shada Shakarji. He was a communications specialist attached to Marine Supply Division/Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad.
Biography
Pre-Series
Liam's parents once lived together in Texas prior to Liam being born before Liam's father, Mike Franks, who was a Vietnam War veteran and drug runner, left his mother, Mary O'Neill, unaware that she was pregnant with Liam.
Liam was born on August 21, 1982 in Baltimore, MD and has middle name Michael after his biological father.
Eventually, by the time he was an adult, he joined the United States Marine Corps.
At one point, after his mother passed away from the cancer, he was able to track down his biological father and they have chat before his deployment.
During his time in Afghanistan, he met Leyla Shakarji before eventually getting her pregnant. He later requested help form his father to get Leyla and her newborn daughter, Amira, out of Afghanistan after the former's family disowned her.
