Michelle Lee (or "Michy") was an NCIS Special Agent and lawyer who for a time also served as a temporary member of the main NCIS Major Case Response Team as well as the adoptive sister of Amanda Lee. She is a recurring character for a few seasons.
In season 6 she becomes a member of the temporary Second NCIS Major Case Response Team. The team was created by Director Leon Vance because he was alerted to a mole within the NCIS and narrowed it down to three agents. He dismantled Special Agent Gibbs's team with Agents Ziva David, Anthony DiNozzo Junior and Timothy McGee and gave them new assignments so that Gibbs could identify which of the three was the mole.
Agent Lee was later revealed to be a mole leaking highly sensitive and also classified information to an unknown source. In November 2008 she sacrificed herself to stop her handler from escaping, with the two ultimately dying at the hands of NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

Jimmy Palmer also reveals that they are no longer together after he ended it because he felt he was being used. When Agent Keating is in interrogated she and Agent Langer goes to another building to investigate something in regards to the case. Agent Langer either believes that Keating is the mole and goes with her to find evidence or he lures her with him to confront her. Lee calls Gibbs in distress and when Gibbs and Vance arrives she has shot Langer, and claims self defence. He is believed to be the mole and the case is closed. At the end of the episode she is revealed to the audience to be the mole and that she killed Steven Vargo.
In episode Collateral Damage (episode) Gibbs grows suspicious of her and suspects that she might be the mole instead and that Langer was framed. She is a few episodes later revealed to be the real mole in Cloak (episode) to the team, after the team breaks in to a secure facility as a bait and when someone else also tries to break in, it is evident that there still is a security breach within the NCIS. Agent Lee was supposed to get "Dominos", which is a plan with details of how the military will respond to a communications link on an attack on Israel. After an elaborate plan to arrest her without alerting whoever she is reporting too, she is arrested and brought to NCIS where she claims her daughter is held hostage and that that is why she was forced to be a mole. In her files her daughter is listed as her sister, and they are unsure if they can trust her, but Lee is let go so that Gibbs and the team can find out who she has been working with. It turns out she was in fact telling the truth regarding her being pressured into being a mole, but it was her sister and not her daughter. In Dagger (episode) she dies sacrificing herself to stop her handler from escaping, and tells Gibbs to shoot her because the bullets will go through her and kill her handler Ted Bankston
Physical Appearance
She has brown eyes and dark hair and appears to be petite. Her ethnicity is Asian.
Personality
She seems smart and has a strong work ethic. She comes off as innocent and not always too sure of her self, but is also bold as she sneaks around with Jimmy Palmer for most of season 4. She might also have been using Palmer and their relationship to aid her as a mole. Later she is known to be a mole and has fooled everyone for a long time. She is therefore devious and not as she seems. At the end she sacrifices herself to stop her handler from escaping, despite being a mole. She only became a mole after she was pressured into it when her sister was abducted and used as leverage, which speaks to her love for her sister and protective instincts. She is both a villain and a hero.
