Cast notes

With Mark Harmon having less appearances on NCIS, Gary Cole joined the series as FBI Special Agent Alden Parker while Katrina Law (Jessica Knight) was promoted to series regular and appeared in the opening credits, replacing Emily Wickersham (Eleanor Bishop).

The opening credits were also slightly altered as David McCallum (Donald Mallard) and Rocky Carroll (Leon Vance) both shared the "With" credit, McCallum appearing before Carroll while Cole received the "And" credit.

After being on NCIS for eighteen years, Mark Harmon departed the show in the fourth episode of this season "Great Wide Open" although he would continue to remain in the opening credits for the rest of the season.

• NCIS moved from its original timeslot of airing on Tuesdays at 8pm to its regular/current timeslot of airing on Mondays at 9pm.
• This season is also the first to have Katrina Law (Jessica Knight) and Gary Cole (Alden Parker) both appear on promotional artwork.

• While this isn't the first season to feature Katrina Law as Knight as she previously appeared in the last two episodes of Season 18, this is the first to have her in the main cast and also the first to include her in the opening credits.

Description
