Cast notes

Following his departure from the NCIS series in the NCIS Season 19 episode, "Great Wide Open", Mark Harmon has been officially removed from the intro/opening credits and is no longer a series regular.

With Harmon having left the show in S19, Sean Murray (Timothy McGee) received top billing in the opening credits, followed by Wilmer Valderrama, Katrina Law, Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover, David McCallum, Rocky Carroll and Gary Cole with McCallum and Carroll sharing the "With" credit while Cole receives the "And" credit.

Murray and Valderrama now read the "Previously on NCIS" line.

Trivia

• NCIS Season 20 aired alongside NCIS: Los Angeles Season 14 which is the last season of the entire NCIS: Los Angeles series and NCIS: Hawaii Season 2. This is the last season to be aired alongside NCIS: Los Angeles.
• First season to not feature Mark Harmon (Gibbs) in the opening credits and also the first season to not have him on top billing.
  • First season to have anyone other than Harmon receive top billing. In this case, as previously mentioned, Sean Murray gets the top billing.
  • First season to not feature Harmon on promotional posters.
• Final season to feature David McCallum (Donald "Ducky" Mallard) as McCallum died on September 25, 2023 at the age of 90.
