Nicholas "Nick" Torres is an NCIS Special Agent and a member of the NCIS Major Case Response Team led by NCIS Supervisory Special Agent Alden Parker and which was previously led by now retired NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
He is the son of Miguel Torres and Aida Torres, the young brother of Marine Lucia Campbell, brother-in-law of murdered Navy Commander George Campbell, uncle of Amanda Campbell and former rival to Mitch Monroe.
Biography
Pre-Series
Born on February 4, 1984 in Colón, Panama, Torres was the son of Miguel and Aida Torres (formerly Aida Vega) with Torres the youngest of the couple's town children, the oldest being a girl named Lucia with Miguel calling his son Nicolito, or Nico for short.
Miguel was on the police force and opposed the government of military leader, Manuel Antonio Noriega while working to bring him down. However, in 1989, with his cover about to be blown, he left his family behind, hoping to protect him with his family believing he was dead until he resurfaced thirty-two years later in 2021.
As a result of Miguel leaving them, Torres, his mother and sister lost their home and as a result, were forced to move to Columbia to live with an aunt because they were barely able to feed themselves. They also accepted charity from a local church with Miguel supposedly donating money to the same church to help his family.
At the same time the Torres family moved to Colombia, Nick met a girl named Sofia who ended up becoming his best friend and later his girlfriend.
During their time in high school, the two became a couple with Torres certain he would marry Sofia but things took a turn when in their senior year, Sofia was diagnosed with an unknown form of cancer which she later died from with her death continuing to haunt Nick to this day.
Eventually, his sister, Lucia went to live in the United States where she joined the United States Marine Corps and ended up meeting a Commander in the United States Navy, George Campbell with the two later marrying and having a daughter they named Amanda who was born in the early 2000's which made Nick an uncle.
At some point, Torres joined NCIS and while attending FLETC, was taught by his future teammate, Alexandra Quinn and even had some lectures from Professor Dale Harding. On graduation day, Harding spoke to Torres and told him to quit in regards to Torres's lone wolf behavior. Despite this, Torres graduated from FLETC.

Nick is a man in his mid-thirties with short brown hair and brown eyes.
Trivia
- The only main characters on the mothership he hasn’t met are Caitlin Todd and Jenny Shepherd. Although it's likely they've met off-screen, he hasn't met Anthony DiNozzo onscreen yet.
- He is the only NCIS main character to appear on three of the spin-offs, which include NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans and NCIS: Hawaii.
