The Frozen Lake is the 10th episode of NCIS: Los Angeles Season 5 as well as the 106th episode of the entire NCIS: Los Angeles series.
Synopsis
Callen and Sam call on a Gurka for help to find a thumb drive while Kensi and Deeks attempt to find a balance in their relationship.
Plot
Deeks outside the hotel.

- Kensi and Deeks are revealed to have spent the night together following the events of the previous episode, Recovery (NCIS: Los Angeles episode).
- Kensi gives Deeks her father's knife for protection.
- Kensi and Deeks finally begin to truly confront their romantic feelings for each other.
- Kensi and Deeks are separated indefinitely when Kensi is reassigned on a classified mission.

- This episode begins the recurring "White Ghost" storyline which was created as a result of Daniela Ruah (Kensi Blye) becoming pregnant with her first child which occurred during the filming of NCIS: Los Angeles Season 5.
