The Third Man is the 23rd episode of NCIS: New Orleans Season 2 and also the 46th episode of the entire NCIS: New Orleans series.
Synopsis
As they investigate the death of a Navy master diver, the team join forces with Homeland Security after they learn of a potential terrorist attack on New Orleans.
Plot
Brody as the office comes under attack from Arthur Brown.

- John Russo arrives in New Orleans with the team meeting him for the first time.
- It is revealed that the National Security Agency is setting up a building in the New Orleans area.
- It's soon revealed that Russo is in fact a mole and also the man responsible for hiring Arthur and Judy Brown, bringing the two into New Orleans as well as the individual who leaked news concerning the case about Army General Owen Matthews in Collateral Damage (NCIS: New Orleans episode) and the resulting leaks and murders that occurred in that episode as well as the ones in Help Wanted (episode).
Trivia
- Behind the scenes footage for the filming process of this episode was later shown in the second half of the second episode of 48 Hours: NCIS, "To Catch a Killer", showing Scott Bakula, the actor who played Dwayne Pride, talking with his character's inspiration, former NCIS Special Agent Dwayne Swear, about the latter's former case that acted as the focus for the second half.
