Wally Holman is a man who is the father of NCIS Special Agent Kai Holman, the husband/widower of Mrs. Holman and also the owner of a restaurant named "Wally's Eatery".

Wally in the NCIS: Hawaii Season 1 premiere episode, "Pilot".
Wally made his debut appearance in the NCIS: Hawaii Season 1 premiere episode, "Pilot" where he briefly spoke with Kai, the two clearly having a very frosty or thorny relationship before Kai left to go help his NCIS colleagues investigate a case.
Two or three days later, with the case having been solved, Wally and Kai spoke once more, Wally befriending Kai's pet dog, Inoki who had just been released from quarantine as Kai told his father they would have a lot of time to talk about things before suggesting Wally look after Inoki for him with Kai leaving to join his boss, NCIS Special Agent in Charge Jane Tennant for a late-night dinner at her house that included their NCIS colleagues and Jane's two children, Alex and Julie.
